Registered Nurse Kya Picha-Hollister of Ironton, formerly of Blaine, recently joined Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby as the Spine Manager to develop a new spine program. This is being done to prepare for a new, fellowship-trained spine surgeon who will begin practicing at CRMC in Fall 2020.
CRMC is also in the process of building a state-of-the-art outpatient clinic for the new spine service and the hospital’s expanding orthopaedics and pain management services. Construction is expected to be complete in Fall 2020.
Picha-Hollister came to CRMC from the Twin Cities Spine Center where she worked as a nurse clinician for the past two years. She also has experience as a Registered Nurse at CentraCare Health’s Neuroscience and Spine Unit at the St. Cloud Hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Minnesota State University-Mankato and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Nursing with an emphasis in Family Nurse Practitioner.
In her new position, Picha-Hollister will assist with development and management functions within the Spine Clinic. She will partner with CRMC’s senior leadership to develop effective strategies for programs, product service line development, marketing, physician integration, resource utilization and hospital/clinic processes.
