Bio

During her educational journey to become a Physical Therapy Assistant at Lake Superior College, Megan Boyd completed one of many clinical internships at CRMC. After graduating with her Associate of Applied Science degree, she joined CRMC’s Physical Therapy department in 2016. Boyd has experience with patients in home care, a skilled nursing facility, a transitional care unit, a rehab outpatient clinic, and inpatients in the hospital or swing bed. Her experience and expertise led her to become CRMC’s lead PTA in 2024.

Boyd’s enthusiasm and special interests are in geriatrics, complementing her certification in LSVT BIG, which utilizes a specialized rehabilitation approach for those with Parkinson’s Disease and movement disorders. Boyd excels in orthopaedic conditions and has completed a certification in amputees and industrial health that involves employment screening.

Her favorite part of patient care is seeing people complete their therapy goals and make noticeable strides. Outside of work, Boyd enjoys playing golf, pickleball, and kayaking.
