Family Medicine Physician Karlee LaFavor, M.D., of Grand Marais, Minnesota, began treating patients at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Crosby Clinic in September 2021. She specializes in general family medicine for men, women, and children of all ages. Dr. LaFavor’s special interests include pediatrics, behavioral health, non-opioid management of chronic pain, and empowering patients to take control of chronic health conditions. She also treats opioid use disorder in the HOPE Clinic at CRMC, as a Suboxone prescriber.
Dr. LaFavor completed her residency at Aurora Lakeland Family Medicine Residency Rural Training Track in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. She earned her Medical Degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. She speaks English and some Spanish. She is board-certified with the American Board of Family Practice and a member of the American Association of Family Practice and American Society of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. LaFavor was born at CRMC and lived in Northern Minnesota while in high school, and Alaska as a child. Outside of her practice, Dr. LaFavor enjoys her dog and cat, the outdoors, gaming, and music.
