Bio

Nurse Practitioner John Reimer of Deerwood was recently promoted to Director of Orthopaedics and Spine at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby to assist leading the department with current director Adam English. He previously worked as manager of the clinic since April 2022 and was an Orthopaedics nurse at CRMC for the two years prior.

On the Orthopaedics team, he joins surgeons Jeffrey Klassen, M.D.; Susan Moen, M.D.; Kyle Moore, D.P.M.; Erik Severson, M.D.; and James Stokman; M.D.; and Physician Assistants Shelly Beseman, Abby Dingmann, Matthew Fleming, Thomas Lewandowski, Mitchell Mimbach, and Katelyn Sarlette.

Reimer came to CRMC from Eagan, Minn., where he worked as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Case Manager for Fairview Home Care and Hospice. He also has nursing experience at Regions Hospital in the Twin Cities and at The University of Kansas Hospital and Atchison County EMS in Kansas. Reimer also volunteered on medical mission trips to the Philippines and El Salvador, caring for displaced families in Minneapolis-St. Paul with Project Home, and on bone marrow drives with Delete Blood Cancer Organization.

The director earned his Master’s degree at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. Reimer also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. He and his wife, Angela, have four girls and one boy. Outside of work he enjoys biking, hunting, and spending time with his family.
