Kaleidoscope—A Celebration of Courage, a fund-raiser for area cancer patients, will be the topic of discussion on KKIN Radio’s Community Connection program, 94.3 on the FM dial, Thursday, Oct. 11, from 8 to 8:30 a.m.
Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Charitable Fund Coordinator Jennifer Holmvig and Oncology Care Coordinator Jill Wittrock will provide details about the event scheduled for Tuesday evening, Oct. 23, at Heartwood Senior Living Community in Crosby.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Courage Cabinet which makes the journey a little easier for cancer patients by providing financial assistance to help meet basic needs and allow them to focus on healing. Donations are used to provide things like travel assistance, nutrition supplements, medications, compression garments and more to those in the fight of their lives. Over the past six years, more than $60,000 in Cabinet funds have been awarded to local patients.
Kaleidoscope replaces CRMC’s former Pink Frosting event which focused on supporting breast cancer patients. Because the cost of cancer treatment quickly becomes a burden for patients will all types of cancer, the event was changed.
Tickets are $20 in advance at https://CRMC18.givesmart.com and will also be available for $25 at the door. For more information, please contact Jennifer Holmvig at jennifer.holmvig@cuyunamed.org or 218-545-4455.
