The public is invited to a free, community event, “Aging Wisely,” featuring informational booths from local organizations that provide services and educational seminars for older adults on Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Heartwood Senior Living Community in Crosby.
Sponsored by Heartwood and Silos to Circles, the event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided by Heartwood.
Four half hour educational seminars are planned. At 10:30 a.m., Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department Captain Scott Goddard will present “Senior Fraud Protection.” Honoring Choices facilitators Deb Bergsnev and Nancy Stratman will provide information on Advance Care Directives at 11 a.m. “Adult Protection” will be presented at 11:30 a.m. by Crow Wing County Social Worker Sandra Larson and at noon, Central Minnesota Council on Aging Community Development Coordinator Kathy Gilbride will present information about the Senior Linkage Line.
