Extraordinary Nursing: CRMC Announces DAISY Award Recipient
CROSBY, Minn. – Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is honored to recognize Brandi Foote, RN, with the organization’s DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses for outstanding patient care.
Foote’s nominator for the award wrote in-part, “Brandi Cares. I always know she will work her heart out to do what is best for me and what will make me comfortable. She always includes my wife in her gracious kindness. Brandi is a great team player and collaborator. She never fails to exceed my expectations for top-notch care. She is a crown jewel in a department filled with fine jewels.”
CRMC implemented the DAISY Award in 2022. A CRMC committee carefully chooses among many deserving nominees quarterly to receive the prestigious recognition. Recipients are presented the award at a celebration attended by the honoree’s colleagues, patients, and visitors. Each honoree receives a certificate commending them as an “Extraordinary Nurse.” The certificate reads: “In deep appreciation of all you do, who you are, and the incredibly meaningful difference you make in the lives of so many people.” Honorees also receive a DAISY Award pin and a beautiful, meaningful sculpture called ‘A Healer’s Touch,’ hand-carved by artists of the Shona Tribe in Zimbabwe.
