Cancer Support Group: Former CRMC Surgeon Shares his Cancer Journey

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center will host its monthly cancer support group on June 20, from noon to 1:30 p.m at the Crosby-campus. Former CRMC Surgeon Dr. Howard McCollister, along with his wife Sally, will present on his personal cancer journey.
The group is an opportunity to share experiences, support one another, listen, and learn. Cancer Support Group meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday, with a soup and sandwich lunch. Each month a different topic related to cancer is highlighted. There is no cost to attend, but those planning to attend should e-mail dustine.parks@cuyunamed.org or call 218.546.4319. Former CRMC Surgeon Dr. McCollister has over 40 years of medical experience. Dr. McCollister was one of two CRMC surgeons who brought the medical facility into the surgical limelight by forming the Minnesota Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIMIS). Today, the group has expanded to include many world-class surgeons. Dr. McCollister retired in August 2022.
