Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Registered Nurse Sarah Oehrlein of Brainerd recently received the organization’s Trophy Fish Award for going above and beyond in her job duties by assisting a neighbor who had health concerns.
Recently, Sarah assisted a neighbor in making appointments from initial, surgical consults, pre-op visits and surgery. “She truly went above and beyond when she drove him to his cardiac and surgical consults and stayed with him during the visits to make sure his concerns were addressed,” her nominator wrote. “She also drove him to the hospital and back home after surgery because he had no family to take him home. Sarah took time out of her busy personal life to accompany him to, through and after surgery. She is a truly ambassador of CRMC and more importantly exemplifies altruism on a daily basis.”
An Operating Room Nurse, Oehrlein has worked at CRMC since 2001.
