Baxter Clinic Receptionist/Scheduler Kristina Selisker of Baxter this week received Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Trophy Fish Award for going above and beyond in her job.
Selisker recently noticed two elderly patients were waiting for over an hour for their medi-van ride. Since it was over the lunch hour and she knew the patients were hungry, Selisker went to the nearby Wal-Mart about bought them lunch to eat at the clinic while they waited. The patients were so grateful for her kindness. “Kristina is always aware of when and if patients have been waiting in the lobby and making sure they are taken care of,” her nominator wrote.
Other award nominees for March were: Alex Amling, reception-scheduling, Baxter Clinic; Laura Amundson, occupational therapist, Rehabilitation; LeAnn Anderson, LPN, Clinic Nursing; Tracy Gujer, RN, Recovery; Kari Indihar, physical therapist, Rehabilitation; Ben Mooers, LPN, Clinic Nursing; Laura Newton, RN, Emergency Department; Heather Swift, RN, Clinic Coordinator, Clinic Nursing; Courtney Thull, LPN, Clinic Nursing; Bonnie Wermter, LPN, Clinic Nursing; and Victoria Williams, LPN, Clinic Nursing.
