Montgomery has nine years of experience as a nurse practitioner and over 30 years of nursing experience in mental health, jail health, and geriatric care. She worked at Baxter’s Community Behavioral Health Hospital for two years, the State of Minnesota’s CARE Program in Brainerd for two years, and Spectrum Healthcare Veteran’s Administration Clinic in Hibbing for six years. She has also been a nurse and supervisor at Bethany Good Samaritan, Cass County Public Health, and Brainerd Regional Human Services Center.

The nurse practitioner holds a Master’s degree from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth and has been certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2004.
